The predecessor to CST Studio Suite, MAFIA [de] ("solving Maxwell's equations with the Finite Integration Algorithm"), was sold by CST, a university spin-off from TU Darmstadt founded in 1992 to commercialize the FIT method originally invented in 1977 by Thomas Weiland.[8] Although the software was initially developed for particle accelerator laboratories, it found application in microwave engineering, and so FIT was implemented in CST Microwave Studio (CST MWS) in 1998, which became CST Studio Suite in 2005.[9][8] CST was acquired by Dassault Systèmes in 2016, and since then CST Studio Suite has been a product of Simulia.[10]
CST Studio Suite provides fast, accurate, accessible electromagnetic simulation for engineers, designers, and researchers working in many fields, including microwaves, RF & optical, EDA & electronics, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), particle dynamics, statics, and low frequencies.
Cst Microwave Studio
CST Studio Suite's huge solver array and co-simulation capabilities make it suitable for a wide variety of applications, including antennas, microwaves & RF, biological EM, optical, EDA/electronics, EMC/EMI, particle dynamics, statics/low frequency, and coupled thermal and structural multiphysics.
Hi everybody,I'm new to CST microwave studio. Just finish constructed a structure ofan L-probe patch antenna (from IEEE paper) and just run the simulationby transient time solver, the curve of the return loss(S11) againstfrequency that i get is different from what showing on the IEEE paper,so is it the boundary condition setting will affect the simulationresults? And actually what is the function of setting the boundarycondition?During the simulation, a warning message "some PEC material is touchingthe boundary" was show. After change the boundary condition setting to"open(add space)" then the warning will eliminate when run again thesimulation. But the s11 curve still different from the "actual" results.Anybody can help?Any comments will be appreciate.Thanks.
I am trying to export a PCB that I created in altium using ODB++ format to CST Microwave studio 2017 , I clicked import and then chose ODB+ and browsed to the zipped file of the ODB++ but it's giving me this error which resulted failure.
In this paper a new dual-band uniplanar monopole antenna fed by Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) line is proposed for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) applications. The antenna structure includes a CPW fed line and the dual-band operation is achieved from the G-shaped folded antenna. The antenna parameters have been investigated and optimized by using CST Microwave Studio. To validate the CST Microwave Studio results before the antenna achievement, we have conducted another study by using ADS. The final circuit was achieved, measured and validated. Experimental results show that the proposed antenna with compact size of 30*45 mm2 is simple in design and compact in size. It exhibits broadband impedance matching, consistent omnidirectional radiation patterns and appropriate gain characteristics suitable for the microwave RFID applicartions.
